Product Description
NovaBACKUP now provides agent-less backup & restore of virtual machines from Vmware ESX(i) 4.0+ along with vSphere servers.

Go to the Backup tab of the software. You’ll see the VMware node and be able to expand the node. This will show you all the ESX(i) or vSphere servers you have configured in NovaBACKUP. Then you can click on each ESX(i) or vSphere server node and see the Virtual Machines that are available to backup. Now you can select which of the Virtual Machines should be backed up. |
|
How it works How the backup and restore process works: The backup operation of NovaBACKUP BE Virtual first contacts the ESX(i) or vSphere server and tells it to snap the Virtual Machine that is being backed up. After that is done NovaBACKUP then starts to download or stage the Virtual Machine to a temporary location on the machine NovaBACKUP is installed on. NovaBACKUP will backup this temporary file to the device that is selected in the backup job and once it completes that it will clean up the temporary file. |
